To celebrate National Farmers Market Week, join us on Saturday, August 10th, at the Midland Area Farmers Market for a day filled with pie-tastic fun! Whether you're a young aspiring baker or a seasoned pie pro, this event is for you. Preregistration is required to enter, please read the official rules below and complete the form submission. Only 10 participants per category, so sign up early for your chance to shine! Entries will be accepted until July 31, or when 10 submissions in each category have been reached.

Get ready for some pie-tastic fun!
- Only one pie registration per person – let's keep it fair and delicious!
- Don't forget to pre-register with the form below.
- Use only fresh ingredients from the Midland Area Farmers Market – let's support our local farmers!
- Show off your creativity with sweet or savory pies!
- Make sure your pie follows the MDARD Cottage Foods Rules – no fridge required!
Judging Magic
- Our judges will taste your pies incognito – it's a surprise taste adventure!
- Their decision is the final word – may the best pie win!
- Sorry, the following bunch are ineligible: Market vendors, staff, Midland Business Alliance, Jolt Credit Union staff, all family members of these, and the judges.
Pie Perfection Criteria
- Taste, presentation, and crust flakiness are the key ingredients for success.
- Bonus points for creative names.
- Scored on a scale of 1 to 5 – aim high and win big!
Sweet Rewards for Each Division (Adult & Youth)
- Bragging rights, big blue ribbons, and fabulous package for the top three winners!
- Adults - 1st: $100 cash and Market tokens. 2nd: $75 cash and Market tokens. 3rd: $50 cash and Market tokens.
- Youth - 1st: $75 cash and Market tokens. 2nd: $50 cash and Market tokens. 3rd: $25 cash and Market tokens.
Entrants' Pledge
- Get ready to shine in the spotlight – we might feature you and your pie creation on our socials!
- Be prepared to share your winning recipe with the world!
- Your key ingredients must be purchased from the Midland Area Farmers Market – let's keep it local and fresh!
- Don't forget to drop off your masterpiece at MAFM on time in a recyclable pan!
- Two copies of your recipe – one with your name, one without – to impress our judges!
Support a Sweet Cause
After watching the judges enjoy the deliciousness, satisfy your sweet tooth with a slice for a good cause. Pie slices are available for donation with proceeds going to the Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network!
